The Technical University of Crete (TUC), proud member of the European University on Responsible Consumption and Production (EURECA-PRO), organizes a series of open scientific lectures in the context of faculty exchange visits.
The next lecture of the series will be delivered by Dr. Bożena Wieczorek, Assistant Professor at the Department of Algorithmics and Software at the Silesian University of Technology (SUT), Poland, one of the partner universities in EURECA-PRO. Dr. Wieczorek will be visiting TUC for the whole week starting the 26th of May 2025, meeting members of TUC Faculty and Staff. Dr. Wieczorek is visiting TUC with the support of EURECA-PRO TUC.
Prof. Wieczorek’s lecture is titled:
"Coding, Cognition and Kinect: Educating with Technologies"
and is scheduled to take place on
Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 16:00 EET (15:00 CET)
and can be attended either physically or virtually:

Abstract
This presentation will cover two approaches in the field of educational technology. The first focuses on the implementation of an automated assessment system designed to support programming education and alleviate the burden of manual code evaluation. The second explores the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and psychology through the use of Kinect sensor data to estimate ego states, applying principles of Transactional Analysis.
