From the 3rd to the 4th of July, 2025, Dr. Andreas Giotis, Associate Professor at TUC's School of Mineral Resources Engineering, visited the Ecole National Superiere de Geologie (ENSG) of the University of Lorraine for a faculty exchange programme, full of meetings, seminars and visits.
Being a part of the ongoing successful exchanges between UL and TUC, the discussions focused on joint research directions and the creation of joint Master's programmes, as well as student exchange opportunities, both at University and at School level though the EURECA-PRO alliance.
Dr. Giotis was welcomed by Dr. Irina Panfilova, Head of the International Relations Office of ENSG and Professor and Head of the Department of Reservoir Engineering and Hydrodynamics, Laetitia Bresson, Director of Economic and International Development of INP - Collégium Des Écoles D' Ingénieurs at the University of Lorraine, Dr. Anna Vanderbruggen, Associate Professor on Battery Recycling), Camille Pierre, Associate Professor at ENSIC and Yann Foucaud, Associate Professor in Mineral Processing at ENSG.
The programme also included Dr. Giotis giving a research seminar to the students and staff at ENSG, along with a short presentation by Dr. Vandebruggen, on STEVAL (Experimental Station for the Valorisation of Raw Materials and Residual Substances) - an innovative pilot plant for mineral processing.
