The Technical University of Crete (TUC) is pleased to announce the 8th International Conference on Industrial and Hazardous Waste Management – CRETE 2025, which will take place in Chania, Crete, at the MINOA PALACE RESORT from 27-31 May 2025, in collaboration with prestigious institutions and organizations from abroad. The conference will feature more than 200 scientific presentations by distinguished scientists and researchers from 38 countries around the world.
In addition, CRETE 2025 will host a special two-day Greek-language session focused on national challenges and developments in the field. This event will include talks by representatives from some of the largest companies in Greece and will be held entirely in Greek on May 29–30, 2025.
The thematic scope of CRETE 2025 is broad, covering a wide range of industrial and hazardous waste categories (e.g., hospital waste, batteries, plastics, textiles, mining by-products, etc.), as well as topics related to environmental management in general (e.g., climate change, risk assessment, waste and natural disasters, and more).
CRETE 2025 offers a unique opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, the presentation of innovations, and the strengthening of collaboration between academia, industry, and public authorities in the field of waste management.
